About Garfinkle G.
Garfinkle G. was born at the local hospital in Rodentia, USA, and has never stepped foot outside of the small town. He has one older sister and lives at home with his mother and father. In the 2nd grade, Garfinkle started talking less and less in the classroom. At first his teacher thought it was because he was shy, but it became obvious from his facial expression that he was just a very sad bear. While his parents and teacher, Mr. Foozle, tried to get him to talk about what was going on, Garfinkle had a lot of trouble doing so. He would mostly just stay quiet and shrug his shoulders.
Dr. Woodchuck has been meeting with Garfinkle two times a week. At first, Garfinkle could barely look at Dr. Woodchuck, but now he is able to look up and answer his questions with either a 'yes' or a 'no.' Dr. Woodchuck has worked with Mr. Foozle to not pressure Garfinkle to talk in class and to have the other students be nice to Garfinkle when he is having a hard time.
Garfinkle loves to watch cartoons, but some days he's too sad to even do that.
