About Allen A.

Allen A. lives at home with his mother, father, and older sister. He began showing signs of worry in the 1st grade after his sister told him a very scary ghost story. After that, Allen didn't want to be alone AT ALL and always wants to be with his mother. This has made it difficult when it is time to go to school. Allen has a very hard time separating from his mother and will often be crying after she drops him off at school with his teacher, Mrs. Moops.

It has taken a long time for Allen to feel comfortable meeting with Dr. Woodchuck. The meetings at first were with Allen's mother in the room, but little by little, Allen has been okay meeting without his mother being there. Allen likes to play with the toys in Dr. Woodchuck's office. He always plays with the same dollhouse, creating the same scene: the mother, father, brother, and sister hiding in the house from the scary storm outside. Dr. Woodchuck is hoping that Allen will trust him enough to talk about other fears and events that occurred in his life that might have made him so worried.

Allen loves to eat peaches and nectarines. In fact, he is a big fan of all summer fruits. He also prefers when it's warm and sunny outside.
